Stephen J. Gordon, ENP

The Executive Director for the OPCD is Stephen J. Gordon, ENP, who is retired from the NOPD as a Police Captain after 33 years.   His last assignment was the Commander of Police Communications.  He earned a Bachelors of Criminal Justice from Loyola University in 1979. read more

He is a member of NENA’s Institute Board managing the Emergency Number Professional national certification program.  He has been a keynote speaker at National and State conventions, including presentations in Canada and England , about the Hurricane Katrina experience. 

Mr. Gordon is a recipient of the Charles Dunbar Louisiana Career Civil Service Award.  He is married, has four children and is a Boy Scout leader for the BSA Troop sponsored at his church.
